About

TQH New York offers classes and private programs based in the Thai Qi Holistics system, a unique healing method developed in Thailand which integrates Medical Qigong, Chinese Medicine, and “dhamma” or Law of Nature, to unfold the body’s natural capacity to heal. Core to this approach is the in-depth study of personal body alignment. Through mindful Qigong exercises, individuals build awareness of the habitual body posture, movement, and breathing patterns that bring symptoms to arise, both physically and mentally, in daily life. Within this process, they become empowered to recognize and transform those habits which do not serve their health and life goals, and learn to shift them toward a state of optimal alignment, well-being, and confidence. In the TQH system, building body-mind awareness and understanding the body’s inherent capacity to heal are the foundations for personal and spiritual growth.

Instructor

Ashley Baldwin is a Long Island native whose Taiwanese family roots have guided her toward a global approach to life. Feeling limited by the allopathic paradigms of health that did not support her own well-being, she decided to pursue a career that would allow her to provide sustained holistic health, both for herself and others. In 2015, she was introduced to the TQH system of Qigong, immediately drawn to its capacity to support individuals in their continued physical, mental, and spiritual growth. Witnessing her own health and empowerment develop, Ashley began daily training under Qigong master and Chinese Medicine doctor, Ajahn Toh, founder of the TQH system, moving her base to Chiang Mai, Thailand in 2016 to do so. For the next 7 years living abroad, she became a Senior Instructor with the Thai Qi Holistics – TQH Central teaching team, teaching internationally in Thailand, Indonesia, and South Korea, as well as to international clientele online. Ashley has instructed Qigong for Senior Health courses at Thailand’s Payap University and in Long Island, New York. In 2023, she moved back to her home of Long Island to found TQH New York, providing private programs and group classes in Port Washington, NY.
